The University Education Award 2024 were presented to Dr. Wong Wai Tat

Congratulations to Dr. Wong Wai Tat for his outstanding achievements in education! The prestigious University Education Award 2024 were presented to Dr. Wong by Prof. Dennis Lo, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, on 4 March 2025.
Dr. Wong Wai Tat’s teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in the traditional concept of apprenticeship, contemporarily nurturing competency-based craftsmanship, with an emphasis on experiential learning in medical education. His teaching approach prioritises practical, hands-on experiences in developing psychomotor, cognitive and compassion skills. Students need to know how to apply the knowledge, not just knowing the knowledge. In other words, he encourages students to do it wholeheartedly with good hands and a sound mind.
