The Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at CU Medicine conducted an analysis using electronic health record-based (EHR) data from over 13 million adult public hospital episodes between 2009 and 2018. The results showed that one in four of all adult deaths in Hong Kong were attributable to sepsis. Local sepsis morbidity and mortality in adults have continued to increase over the past decade.
