Dr. Amelia Ng

BM BCh (Oxon), MA (Oxon), MRCP (UK), FHKCA, FHKAM (Anaesthesiology), LMCHK 

Dr Amelia Ng completed her medical degree at the University of Oxford with an intercalated BA degree in Medical Sciences (Neuroscience). She entered the UK Core Anaesthetic Training Programme and completed her MRCP (UK) and the Primary FRCA. After obtaining the LMCHK (Licentiate Medical Council of Hong Kong), she completed her Specialist Anaesthesia Training at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong. She is a Fellow of The Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists and The Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

She is currently an Associate Consultant and a Clinical Assistant Professor (Honorary) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has a special interest in Neuroanaesthesia providing anaesthesia for complex cases in neuro-oncology including awake craniotomies, functional neurosurgery including deep brain stimulation, base of skull surgery, spine surgery, neurovascular surgery and endovascular surgery. She has held lectures for higher trainees at the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists and has been awarded the HKCA Work Based Assessment Champion for supporting the training of Anaesthetic Residents. She was an Invited Lecturer for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Neurosurgical Forum in 2023.

She also advocates patient and staff safety and is the Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator, Infection Control Coordinator and Critical Incident Officer for Prince of Wales Hospital Operating Theatres.
