
Dr. Linda Lai

Dr Lai is a consultant anaesthetist working in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Prince of Wales Hospital. She has more than 15 years of experience working at public hospitals in Hong Kong. Currently, she is one of the accredited cardiac anaesthetists at her hospital and a member of the Heart Team. She is the Quality and Safety officer and risk manager of the department, as well as urology co-ordinator to facilitate perioperative planning for complex surgeries. Being a roster team member, she monitors closely with the manpower status and the clinical workload to ensure a reasonable and sustainable environment for all the staff.
Apart from clinical and administrative work, she was invited and appointed to be examiner for the Final Fellowship of the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists since 2016, and is taking examinership every year to maintain the quality of training for local trainees. She also loves sharing of her knowledge and experiences with her trainees through supervision, small group tutorials and personal feedback. Currently, she has 3 mentees of different years of training and welcomes to have more!
She is also interested in perioperative medicine (especially the multi-disciplinary collaboration and quality and safety aspects), and is now study the Master of Perioperative Medicine at University of Monash, Australia.
