Dr. Tony Kwun Tung NG

Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician,  Sydney Pain Management Centre and Sydney Pain Research Centre, Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician in Sydney Adventist Hospital Sydney, Australia

Dr. Ng is a dual specialist in both anaesthesiology and pain medicine in Hong Kong and Australia. He attained his fellowship qualifications in both Hong Kong, Australia and World Institute of Pain (FIPP and CIPS). Dr Ng was awarded the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) Distinguished Young Fellow in Anaesthesiology in 2015.

Currently he is working as a Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician in Sydney Pain Management Centre and Sydney Pain Research Centre, Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician in Sydney Adventist Hospital, and Part-time Consultant Anaesthetist, Boxhill Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He is appointed as Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and as an Honorary Consultant in the Center for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management, Wan Fang Hospital (Taipei Medical University). He also serves as a member in the Educational Committee (New York School of Regional Anesthesia), Council member of Hong Kong Pain Society, Board member of Board of Pain Medicine (Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists) and Research Committee member, Faculty of Pain Medicine(Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists).

He has been actively involved in the development of acute and chronic pain management at the Corporate (Hospital Authority, Hong Kong) and Academic Colleges (HKCA and ANZCA) levels in both Hong Kong and Australia all along.

Dr Ng is a scholar with multiple book and journal publications on ultrasound-guided pain intervention and regional block, regenerative medicine and chemical denervation of peripheral joints. He is currently the journal reviewer of multiple international journals, such as Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia and BMJ Open.

He has been involved to develop the 1st AI application in the field of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine from NYSORA, as well as the review workgroup of an online interactive education tool “Better Pain Management”, FPM ANZCA.

He is also an educator and has been invited to speak in multiple international conferences across different continents, such as Toronto (Canada), Singapore, Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Leuven(Belgium). He has been invited as a visiting professor in Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok to share his knowledge and skills with the pain physicians in Southeast Asia.
