What is it?

BASIC Clinical Research is a 2 day course designed as a practical introduction to clinical research for research novices. It was developed as an initiative of the International Forum of Acute Care Trialists (InFACT) by the BASIC Collaboration.

Who is it aimed at?

Healthcare workers with an interest in, but little or no experience of, conducting clinical research.

What is the format?

The course consists of preparatory pre-course reading (course manual provided), pre-course test, a few brief lectures and small-group interactive tutorials and skill stations. The course is disseminated on a train-the-trainers basis.

How much does it cost?

There are no license fees for running courses. Course material is supplied in an electronic format and course manuals can be printed locally from the supplied pdf. Course fees for attending vary depending on the costs of running courses.
