The Not so BASIC course builds on the material covered in the BASIC course. Not only does it cover more advanced aspects of organ support it also covers some of the more common conditions seen in Intensive Care and management of conditions seen in natural and man-made disasters. The format is similar to the BASIC course, consisting of a course manual, pre-course MCQ, two day course consisting of lectures and skill stations and a post-course MCQ. The course material is available, free of charge, to Intensive Care specialists who wish to run Not so BASIC courses. Click here if you are an Intensive Care specialist and wish to run a course.
